Moving During October

By | September 29, 2012

October will be a little hectic on the Dirt Modeler scene.   I’m moving out of the shop this month.  I’m going to first move the Dirt Modeler related items over and get that setup so business won’t be interrupted.  Then i’m going to be organizing, throwing away, or selling whatever production items from building replicas i don’t have enough room for or can easily replace.  I’m hoping in a year or two we’ll have enough in the bank to purchase a real house with a garage that will allow me to once again build models.  Until that time i’ll be handling only etched parts for Dirt Modeler.

It’s sad taking it all down.  Unfortunately with the problems i had with lawsuits in the replica business, it was only a matter of time before the Dirt Modeler parts business wouldn’t be able to support Rent/Power/Insurance on this space.  The past 6 months or so we’ve been making up the difference with savings hoping it would turn around.  Unfortunately, it hasn’t.

Dirt Modeler customers, fear not.  Business won’t be interrupted during the move.  The Etched parts will be moved to our rental garage this weekend, and won’t miss a beat.

Those waiting for the molds and masters to get posted on Ebay, i haven’t forgotten about you.  That will all be done during this moving process (i’m not taking all that stuff with me when i move)

Sorry it came to this Michael, but you keep doing what you do with the etched parts and one of us will step up and try to fill your shoes on the cast and molded parts. As more people get involved on the supply side hopefully we’ll get this whole thing built up to where we know it can go. I’m personally very interested in seeing the mold auctions as I’ve been thinking about this for a while anyway. Good luck with your move and let us know what the rest of this community can do to help.

With this new move I’m sure that things will turn around for the Best for you and Christina!
